This slate blue ceramic sculpture is hand-built stoneware – a form shaped by the slow movement of water along the shore. Its open curves echo the gentle rhythm of shifting tides and drifting.
Slate blue-grey tones give this wide, open piece a calm and expansive presence – like standing at the water’s edge and watching the tide move in.
Each piece is unique, shaped entirely by hand in my studio in Jakobstad, Finland. No two are ever the same.
